The World Honey Bee Day is annually celebrated on every third Saturday in August and this year it falls on the 20th of August. 

The day is celebrated to recognize the importance that bees plays in our world and also to raise awareness regarding the conservation of bees to the general public. 


As there are many dangers that a bees face I today’s world that pose a threat of extinction to these beautiful creatures. And if the bees go extinct from the world it would gave a very devastating effect on our planet as bees plays a very important role in keeping our ecosystem.

World Honey Bee Day History: 

Bees have always been important for all the humans because of the delicious and sweet honey which it produces. As honey has been in use as a sweetener for all sorts of food. Although the method of collecting honey from the nectar was risky because of a chance to get bee sting but still people took it because of the importance of honey. 

The first account on honey being massively used is found in the Ancient Egyptian civilization.
